Caring about the carers
A little later this month (April 15) the Bespoke Computing team will be donning our glad rags and getting ready to celebrate the cream of Shropshire’s caring profession at the annual Care Awards.
It’s always a humbling event as you see first hand the drive and commitment of the people who are looking after the most vulnerable and elderly people in our society – our parents, relatives, friends, or neighbours.
The Care Awards, organised by Shropshire Partners in Care, is a local event that we are proud to be involved in. This year we are sponsoring the Learner of the Year award and we’re looking forward to seeing who scoops this hotly contested title.
The three nominees – Caroline Tarbuck from Home Instead Senior Care, Eric Piala from Adelphi Care Services and Jess Lane, who works at Sambrook House Residential Care Home in Newport – have all been shortlisted for impressing the judges with their attitude to learning.
Working in the care sector can be demanding and it’s great that these awards are celebrating people’s efforts to learn new skills in a challenging environment.
Good luck to all the learners of the year – you all deserve to win!
