Sponsoring the 2012 Shropshire Care Awards
A county businessman who has seen carers in action close to home is sponsoring the Shropshire Care Awards 2012 to show his appreciation to the dedicated workers across the industry.
For several years staff at Telford-based Bespoke Computing Ltd have looked after the computer systems for county-based care providers but until this year had never seen carers in action.
But that changed for owner Chris Pallett when two of his own close family members required the assistance of care professionals for very different reasons.
He said: “Technology adoption in the care industry is still quite young and for the most part it is only the office based computer systems that need looking after. You are very much removed from the care itself, you rarely meet the people that deliver the care and you never get involved with providing care yourself.
“It is only when it gets this personal do you really understand the effort that goes into caring for somebody, when you see the people that actually deliver the care and the passion they put into their jobs and those they care for.
“This year Bespoke Computing Ltd is proud to sponsor the Shropshire Care Awards because we now know that working in the care industry isn’t an easy job, and it isn’t a job for everybody. Those that can and do work in the industry deserve our appreciation.”
The Shropshire Care Awards celebrate the dedication and commitment of those working in the independent care sector and Bespoke Computing Ltd are sponsoring the Carer Of The Year Award – Domiciliary Care.
The Domiciliary Care Award will go to a carer that shows dedication and sensitivity in caring, is flexible, reliable, dependable and committed.
The winner will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, a commitment to improving standards, contribute to care planning and respond to the changing needs of the service user and the organisation.
The awards are now in their 6th successful year and are an opportunity to recognise staff and care companies who support the most vulnerable in the community.
Entries for the awards close on July 31st, 2012. More information can be found at www.careawards.org.
